Your contributions make a difference. By sponsoring or donating, not only are you helping a community in need, but you’re also enabling the engineers, architects, and planners of tomorrow to shape sustainable and equitable design.

By contributing to the Warrior Home Design Team through sponsorship (name/brand exposure) or donation (philanthropic support - no name/brand exposure), you are helping to inspire a generation of young professionals to think about housing and environmental issues faced by society, as well as contribute to building affordable and sustainable housing.

You will gain access to the talent of some of the University of Waterloo’s most compassionate young leaders. As the Warrior Home Design Team prepares for the Solar Decathlon Competition, there will be numerous opportunities for brand exposure both on campus and on an international stage, especially for sponsors.

Warrior Home is prepared to accommodate a number of different sponsor requests. Reach out to us today to see how you can support our team and how we can support you!

Current Sponsorship Opportunity:

Help an Indigenous Non-Profit Build a Net-Zero Energy Home

For the 2021-2023 Solar Decathlon Build Challenge, our team has partnered with the Kitchener- Waterloo Urban Native Wigwam Project (KWUNWP), a non-profit urban Indigenous affordable housing organization, to redesign and retrofit a century-old home located at 32 Mill Street, Kitchener, ON. Our goal is to transform the home into an affordable, net-zero energy home centered around energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience. The Warrior Home design team will be working closely with the KWUNWP to meet the unique needs of their organization and to provide Indigenous community members with an innovative and affordable single-family detached home moulded by the community’s needs while minimizing operational, maintenance, and capital costs.

FUNDRAISING GOAL

To bring the retrofit design from concept to build, Warrior Home has estimated the costs as outlined below. The costs are estimated to total $150,000 and broken down by discipline in percentages based on estimates from the team’s previous projects. Check out our sponso-meter to see how much we have raised so far!
